Telling Stories

Writing for MMOs is not an easy task. You want to be able to tell the player the story of his character, while at the same time there are hundreds of other players with their own stories, and those will intersect on more than one occasion.

Maintenance

There is a part to almost every MMO that doesn’t involve traveling or combat, it’s the part that you need to do (or should do) to maximize your game experience. I like to call this part “Maintenance” or “Maint” for short.
